Joseph M. Diego, USDA

Joseph (Joe) Diego is the Area II Director for the Western Pacific Region with USDA Rural Development. Under the State of Hawaii, his area of responsibility includes program and administrative oversight for the Republic of the Marshall Islands, Republic of Palau, the Federated States of Micronesia and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands and Guam.

Joe started his career with USDA in 1995 where he held various positions in Guam and Hawaii. He is currently the Area Director, a position he has passionately and successfully held since March 2001. Over the past 29+ years, Joe has managed the administration of federal direct loans, loan guarantees and grants for the Western Pacific in the areas of affordable housing, infrastructure, community projects and business development.
