Chat Bautista, DEQ

Charito Bautista is the Environmental Surveillance Laboratory Manager of BECQ/DEQ ESL.  Responsible for the overall laboratory operation and ensuring that all laboratory staff have demonstrated proficiency for their assigned tasks and that all data  reported by the laboratory meet the required quality assurance criteria and regulatory requirements.  She is also the CNMI Laboratory Certification Manager responsible for managing the laboratory certification activities for certified on island laboratories and off island laboratories which are certified through reciprocity.  She holds a degree in Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of San Agustin, Iloilo City, Philippines.  

Ms. Bautista is USEPA Laboratory Certification Officer in Microbiology and Inorganic Chemistry.  She is also currently assuming the responsibility of the Quality Assurance Officer ensuring the accuracy, reliability and consistency of laboratory processes and results which adheres to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
