Mark Cruz, JRM

As a Regional Environmental Coordinator for JTF-M, Mr. Cruz focuses primarily in the Republic of Palau, the Federated States of Micronesia and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI). Mr. Cruz has extensive National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and environmental regulatory compliance experience dating back to 1995. Mr. Cruz also has extensive experience in environmental management/compliance during military training exercises within the Pacific Fleet Mariana Islands Training Range Complex in Guam and in the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI).

From 2016-2021, Mr. Cruz worked DoD Environmental Policy issues overseas in Poland, Spain, Italy, Greece, Iceland, Bahrain and Romania. Mr. Cruz sat as the US Environmental Sub-Committee Co-Chair for Poland, Romania and Italy and was a US Navy representative for the NATO Environmental Working Groups.

Mr. Cruz is currently the US Co-Chair for the US/Palau Environmental Working Group and the DoD Co Chair for the DOD/CNMI Environmental and Land Stewardship Working Group.
